Looking for distribution box manufacturers in Yueqing? The local electrical cluster offers a wide range of PZ30-style consumer units, metal enclosures, lighting boxes, control boxes and custom cabinets. This research shortlist brings together ten companies with a published product or company page and a verifiable Yueqing or Wenzhou connection. It is intended to help buyers choose which catalogues and drawings to request first.
A distribution box is not automatically a complete switchboard. In this guide, the term covers enclosures used to organise and protect final circuits, including modular consumer units and small distribution boards. Some suppliers also make larger control or power cabinets, but those products require a different technical and compliance review. The useful comparison starts with the incoming supply, outgoing circuits, device schedule, busbar and terminal arrangement, enclosure dimensions, mounting method, cable entries, environment and the responsibility for assembling and testing the finished product.
Use the same written enclosure schedule for every supplier. If the project also includes breakers and residual-current devices, see our Yueqing MCB, MCCB, RCCB/RCBO and ACB guides. For an on-site review, see the factory visit service.
How this list was selected: Based on each manufacturer’s official product, company and location information, reviewed on 22 October 2026. This is a research shortlist, not a quality, price, certification, export or “best” ranking. It does not imply that BottomRace has audited every factory or that every enclosure is suitable for your application. Confirm the legal entity, production site, exact model, current documents and local market requirements before ordering.

Compare distribution boxes on the circuit schedule
A photograph of an enclosure does not tell you whether it fits the devices, wiring, cable entries and installation space for the project. Put the complete circuit schedule and component list in one written brief. Ask each supplier to quote the enclosure, internal parts, assembly work and testing separately, and to mark which items are included in the price.
| Include in your enquiry | Ask the supplier to confirm |
|---|---|
| Application and location | Residential, commercial, industrial or outdoor use; ambient conditions, indoor or outdoor installation, and whether a larger control or power cabinet is intended. |
| Supply and circuits | Operating voltage, phases and frequency, incoming current, outgoing circuit schedule, spare ways and the required breaking devices. |
| Module and device layout | 18 mm module widths, breaker and RCD families, SPD space, contactors or other components, rail count and clearance for wiring and heat. |
| Busbars and terminals | Phase, neutral and earth bar arrangement, current ratings, terminal sizes, cable capacity, insulation and accessibility for inspection. |
| Enclosure construction | Cold-rolled steel, stainless steel or plastic, sheet thickness, finish, door type, transparent window, lock and removable panels. |
| Protection and environment | IP rating of the complete assembly, door gasket, ventilation, corrosion exposure, UV exposure and the test or declaration that defines the rating. |
| Dimensions and mounting | External and internal dimensions, depth, flush or surface mounting, cut-out, fixing points, wall or floor support and required clearance. |
| Cable entries | Top, bottom, rear or side entries, knockout sizes, gland plates, sealing, minimum bend radius and whether entries are factory-made or field-modified. |
| Assembly scope | Empty enclosure or populated box, device list, wiring, torque control, labels, insulation checks, routine tests and packing. |
| Documents and site | Outline and wiring drawings, bill of materials, declaration or test scope, legal entity, production address and change-control process. |
| Commercial package | MOQ, sample or prototype charge, tooling, lead time, Incoterms, packaging, warranty, spare parts and after-sales responsibility. |
An IP30 statement for an empty box is not the same as an IP30 claim for a finished assembly with doors, cable entries, breakers and wiring. Ask what was tested, what accessories were fitted and whether the protection statement applies to the complete product. The same rule applies to current: a 125A enclosure rating does not prove that the installed devices, busbars and terminals are suitable for a 125A load.
For a custom box, approve the general-arrangement drawing before production. Mark the door swing, cable-entry positions, rail heights, device orientation, terminal access and any future spare space. If the box is part of a larger switchboard, keep the enclosure drawing, single-line diagram and component schedule under the same revision number so a late change cannot create an untested combination.
Turn the shortlist into a productive factory visit
Arrange the visit after the supplier has answered the enclosure schedule and identified the production site for the exact model. A company may cut and form metal in one workshop, powder-coat it nearby, source plastic parts or terminals from another supplier, and assemble the finished box in a different building. The visit should follow the process behind your product rather than a generic showroom route.
- Bring the drawings: include the single-line diagram, circuit schedule, general arrangement, material specification, device list, cable entries, labels and destination market.
- Agree the checklist: identify incoming material inspection, laser cutting, punching, bending, welding, surface treatment, door and lock assembly, terminal and rail fitting, electrical assembly and routine testing where relevant.
- Compare the sample with the quotation: check the enclosure dimensions, steel thickness, door, lock, rail position, terminals, cable entries, labels and supplied accessories against the approved drawing.
- Review traceability: ask how material, coating, incoming components and finished boxes are linked to the work order, inspection record, carton label and change notification.
- Confirm what the visit proves: a factory visit provides observations and answers, not a type test, certification review or guarantee of future production quality. Arrange product testing, assembly verification and market-access checks separately.

Questions buyers often ask
What is the difference between a distribution box and a switchboard?
A distribution box usually organises final circuits and modular devices, while a switchboard or cabinet may contain larger incoming devices, busbars, metering, control equipment and multiple functional units. The terms are sometimes used loosely in supplier catalogues. Ask for the single-line diagram, rated current, short-circuit rating, form of separation where applicable and the standard used for the complete assembly.
Is PZ30 a standard product or just a family name?
PZ30 is used across the Yueqing cluster for modular distribution boxes, but the dimensions, steel thickness, door style, terminal arrangement and configuration can differ between suppliers. Treat it as a product family and require the exact model drawing and bill of materials. Do not assume that one supplier’s PZ30 accessories or internal layout will fit another supplier’s enclosure.
Can I compare enclosures by IP rating alone?
No. The IP rating must be read with the complete product, installation method and test scope. A gasketed door, cable entry, knockout and transparent window can change the result. Ask what configuration was assessed, whether the rating covers the empty enclosure or the assembled box, and which documents support the claim for the exact model.
Does a higher current rating mean a better box?
No. The rating has to match the incoming supply, busbars, terminals, devices, heat load and assembly. A box with a high headline current may still be unsuitable if the internal clearance, terminal size or device arrangement does not match your circuit schedule. Compare the complete design and request the rating basis for the quoted configuration.
What should I send before asking for a custom enclosure?
Send the single-line diagram, outgoing circuit list, device models and module widths, required spare capacity, voltage and frequency, incoming cable size, cable-entry directions, mounting method, ambient conditions, IP requirement, dimensions, material, finish, labels, quantity and destination market. A marked photograph or sketch helps, but it should not replace the electrical schedule.
What should be included in the quotation?
Include the exact enclosure model, dimensions, material and thickness, door and lock, rail and terminal arrangement, cable entries, protection statement, device list, assembly scope, drawings, test or inspection records, packing, lead time, MOQ and production site. For a populated box, separate component cost from fabrication and assembly so you can compare like with like.
Are these companies ranked by quality, price or export volume?
No. This is a research shortlist based on published product and location information. It is not a quality, price, certification or export ranking. Send every supplier the same technical schedule, compare deviations and documents, and verify the legal entity and production site before ordering.
