For example, a 24 V output label does not establish the current available at an elevated ambient temperature. Request the model’s output and derating curves and have your engineer confirm the load and cabinet conditions. A battery charger or LED driver should be selected against the battery or lighting system, rather than assumed interchangeable with a general-purpose DC supply.
What to check during a factory visit
Arrange the visit against the exact model and site. Confirm whether the company designs, assembles and tests the supply itself and which operations are subcontracted.
- Review component selection and traceability, including the transformer, switching devices, capacitors and printed circuit board.
- Ask to see soldering, assembly, insulation and spacing controls, protective-earth connections and terminal workmanship applicable to the product.
- Compare the unit, nameplate and mounting with the approved drawing and sample; verify input-selector markings where fitted.
- Review the agreed functional, insulation, dielectric and burn-in records, including test conditions, equipment calibration and batch identification.

Can I use the same model name from different suppliers?

How much output current should I request?
