Looking for MPCB manufacturers in Yueqing? This guide profiles ten Yueqing companies that publish motor protection circuit breakers, manual motor starters or closely related motor-protection products. It is written for buyers comparing devices for pumps, fans, conveyors, compressors, machine tools and other three-phase motor branches.

An MPCB normally combines a manually operated switching mechanism with overload protection and a magnetic short-circuit trip. Some manufacturers call the same family a manual motor starter, motor protector or motor circuit breaker. Those names are not interchangeable by default: one model may include phase-failure protection, another may be only a thermal overload relay, and a standard MCB may have neither the correct magnetic trip nor the motor-duty rating. Confirm the functions, trip class, setting range and applicable standard for the exact catalogue number.

How this list was selected: Official company, product and contact pages were reviewed on 23 October 2026. The order is a research shortlist, not a quality, price, certification, export or “best” ranking. A published product category or local address does not prove that BottomRace has audited every factory or that every model carries every approval. Confirm the legal entity, production site, exact model, current certificate and test scope before ordering.

Manufacturer profiles and questions to ask

1. VIOX Electric

Short name: VIOX
Published location: East Innovation Zone, Wengyang Town, Yueqing

VIOX publishes a dedicated MPCB category and a 3VE-series product page covering J3VE1, J3VE3 and J3VE4 models. The published range spans 0.1 A to 63 A for AC 50 Hz systems at 380 V and 660 V, with bimetallic overload protection and electromagnetic short-circuit protection. The page lists model-dependent short-circuit breaking capacities, adjustable current settings, IP20 protection and accessories including undervoltage and shunt releases. These are useful published selection data, but the exact frame, setting range, voltage, breaking capacity and certificate scope still need to be confirmed for the offered model.

Before requesting a quote: Send the motor nameplate current, supply voltage and frequency, starting method, starting current and duration, required trip class, prospective fault current and ambient temperature. State whether the MPCB needs a rotary or push-button operator, auxiliary contacts, undervoltage or shunt release, enclosure and contactor coordination. Ask for the exact J3VE model, current setting range, Icu and Ics at the actual voltage, terminals, dimensions, accessories and the current document naming that model and production site.

The product page also lists rated ultimate and service short-circuit breaking capacities by model. Those figures should be read at the actual operating voltage. A 32 A frame does not mean every trip unit covers 32 A, so select the setting range around the motor nameplate current.

Before requesting a quote: Send the motor nameplate, starting method, acceleration time, supply voltage, frequency, prospective fault current and ambient conditions. Ask which TGD1-32 trip unit covers the full-load current, and request the exact setting range, magnetic trip, Icu and Ics at the operating voltage, power loss per pole, terminal capacity and dimensions. Confirm whether auxiliary contacts or an enclosure are required, whether the breaker can be used as a disconnector in your arrangement, and which legal entity and production site will supply the order.

Compare MPCBs on the complete motor branch

An MPCB is selected around the motor, the starter arrangement and the fault level at the installation point. Do not compare only the frame current or the headline voltage. Send every candidate the same motor data and ask for a model-specific quotation with written deviations.

Include in your enquiry Ask each supplier to confirm
Motor data Rated output, full-load current, service factor, voltage, frequency, poles, efficiency, starting current and starting duration from the motor nameplate and datasheet.
Starting duty Direct-on-line or other starting method, acceleration time, starts per hour, load inertia and whether the motor is heavy-duty, high-inertia or frequent-starting.
Current setting Adjustable thermal range that contains the motor full-load current, setting method, scale resolution and the effect of ambient temperature and enclosure.
Magnetic trip Fixed or adjustable magnetic trip value, tolerance, relationship to the thermal setting and suitability for the motor starting inrush.
Trip class Trip class and time-current behaviour, particularly for class 10A, 20 or another declared motor-protection curve.
Voltage and poles Rated operational and insulation voltage, frequency, number of poles, neutral arrangement where applicable and the actual voltage used for the breaking-capacity table.
Fault level Prospective short-circuit current at the installation point, required Icu and Ics, backup protection and any cascading or coordination assumptions.
Standards Applicable IEC 60947-4-1 requirements for the motor starter or protector and IEC 60947-2 requirements where the manufacturer declares them for the exact model.
Certificate scope Current certificate, declaration or test report naming the exact model, ratings and production site; do not rely on a logo or a family-level claim.
Accessories Auxiliary contacts, alarm contact, undervoltage release, shunt release, rotary handle, door-coupling handle, padlock provision, terminal shrouds and enclosure.
Mounting and connection DIN-rail or panel mounting, terminal capacity, conductor type, tightening torque, dimensions, clearance, cable direction and replacement compatibility.
Commercial and factory data Legal seller, production site, MOQ, sample charge, packaging, lead time, warranty, change-control procedure and the documents supplied with each batch.

Do not choose an MPCB by frame size alone. A 32 A frame may contain several trip units with different setting ranges, and an 80 A frame may include a 16–25 A trip unit. Start with the motor full-load current, then check the setting range, magnetic trip, trip class and voltage-specific breaking capacity. Confirm that the selected device can be adjusted to the required current without sitting permanently at the bottom or top of its scale.

Check the complete starter combination. An MPCB may be used as a manual motor starter by itself or together with a contactor, overload relay, fuse or enclosure. The manufacturer’s coordination table, if published, should identify the exact combination and the prospective fault current it covers. Do not assume that a breaker tested alone makes every contactor-plus-MPCB combination suitable for the site fault level.

Separate the product claim from the document. A website may state IEC 60947-4-1, IEC 60947-2, CE or another reference for a family. For approval, request the current document that names the offered model and ratings. Check whether the certificate covers the production site and whether the marking on the sample matches the quotation. Market-access requirements differ by destination, so involve your compliance adviser where the motor branch is safety-critical.

What to inspect during an MPCB factory visit

Arrange the visit after the supplier has answered the technical schedule and identified the production site for the exact model. An MPCB factory may combine moulding, metal stamping, bimetallic-element assembly, calibration, contact assembly, magnetic-trip assembly, testing and packing. Follow the route that applies to your order rather than judging only the showroom sample.

  • Bring the motor brief: include the motor nameplate, starting method, full-load current, voltage, frequency, trip class, fault level, accessories and target-market requirements.
  • Review incoming parts: check bimetallic elements, contacts, coils, springs, moulded parts, terminals, labels and packaging against the approved bill of materials.
  • Observe calibration: ask how the thermal setting and magnetic trip are adjusted, which reference pieces are used, how often the station is checked and how drift is controlled.
  • Inspect assembly controls: look for poka-yoke, torque control, contact alignment, terminal security, screw retention and protection against mixing different trip units or frame variants.
  • Review routine tests: confirm the dielectric test, mechanical operation, trip test, setting check and other tests specified for the exact product and standard.
  • Compare the sample: verify the label, model, setting range, voltage, frequency, trip class, standard reference, terminal markings and accessories against the quotation.
  • Check traceability: link the finished device or batch to critical components, calibration records, test results, carton labels and the production date.
  • What a visit proves: a factory visit provides observations and answers, not a type test, certification review or guarantee of future quality. Keep design verification, product testing and market-access review as separate workstreams.

Questions MPCB buyers often ask

Is an MPCB the same as a manual motor starter?

The terms overlap, but they are not always identical. A manual motor starter normally provides manual switching and motor overload protection, and many models also include a magnetic short-circuit trip. An MPCB is a circuit-breaker product intended for motor protection. Check the exact functions, the applicable standard and whether the manufacturer describes the device as a complete starter, a motor protector or a breaker for a specific use.

Can I use a normal MCB to protect a motor?

Not as a direct substitute unless the manufacturer specifies that model for the motor duty. A miniature circuit breaker may have a different magnetic-trip range, thermal behaviour and standard basis from an MPCB. Motor starting produces high inrush current, and the protection must allow normal acceleration while still responding correctly to overload and phase failure. Select a device intended for motor protection and check the complete starter coordination.

What is the difference between the frame current and the setting range?

The frame current describes the physical and electrical frame size. The setting range describes the adjustable thermal trip values available in a particular trip unit. A 32 A frame may contain a 0.1–0.16 A trip unit or a much higher range, while an 80 A frame may include a 16–25 A unit. Choose the setting range around the motor full-load current and do not use the frame number as the protected current.

Why do Icu and Ics matter?

Icu is the rated ultimate short-circuit breaking capacity, while Ics is the rated service short-circuit breaking capacity. They describe different post-fault expectations and should be read at the actual operating voltage. Compare them with the prospective fault current at the installation point, including the specified backup protection or coordination arrangement. A headline value at one voltage cannot be applied automatically to another voltage.

When do I need an auxiliary contact or release?

An auxiliary contact can report whether the MPCB is open or closed to a PLC, indicator or interlock. A shunt release trips the device from a control signal, and an undervoltage release trips or prevents closing when the control voltage is lost. The need depends on the starter scheme, remote-control strategy, safety function and panel design. Confirm accessory compatibility with the exact frame and operating style.

Does an IP20 rating make the MPCB suitable for outdoor use?

No. IP20 describes protection against access to hazardous parts and against a defined level of solid-object ingress; it does not make the device weatherproof. If the motor branch is installed outdoors, in a washdown area or in a dusty environment, select a suitable enclosure and check the resulting temperature rise, corrosion exposure and operating conditions. The enclosure rating and the breaker-body rating are separate.

Are these companies ranked by quality, price or export volume?

No. This is a research shortlist based on published product and location information. It is not a quality, price, certification, export or “best” ranking. Send every supplier the same motor data, compare deviations and documents, and verify the legal entity and production site before ordering.
