What is the difference between a busbar and a busway?
A busbar is a conductor used to carry current. It may be a rigid bar, a flexible connector, a laminated part or a comb busbar inside a panel. A busway is a factory-built or site-assembled system that encloses one or more conductors with insulation, joints, supports and a housing. A busway quote should cover the complete run and installation interfaces, not just the copper bar inside it.
Can I use one supplier for a comb busbar and a complete busway?
Only if the supplier can provide the relevant product family, drawings and test scope. Many Yueqing companies specialise in one category. A comb-busbar maker may not manufacture medium-voltage busway, and a busway manufacturer may not stock the small pin or fork busbar that fits your chosen MCB.
